Help us to win another top award!
That’s the message from bosses at Clacton Pier which has made it through to the regional final of a prestigious accolade for the second year running.
It now all depends on a public vote to see if the attraction will be crowned Muddy Stilettos Best Family Experience for 2025.
The pier faces stiff opposition from Colchester Zoo, All Things Alpaca (Chelmsford), Call of the Wild Zoo (South Woodham Ferrers) and Gemma’s Farm (White Notley) who are also in the regional final.
The voting is now open and closes on April 15 at 1pm with the winner to be announced on April 30.

Last year Clacton Pier picked up Best Family Attraction in the same award scheme.
Nigel Brown, the pier’s communications manager said it was fantastic to collect the Muddy Stilettos accolade last year and the only thing to beat that would be to be chosen again this year.
“Our fans and loyal customers have already voted to get us this far but the voting has started afresh and we need your support again,” he added.
“Winning awards is not only good for us, but also for Clacton and the Tendring district and hopefully helps to bring in more visitors to boost the tourism sector.”
The link to vote is: https://essex.muddystilettos.co.uk/awards/vote/
Once there choose the Best Family Experience category and then Clacton Pier. You will then be sent an email to confirm your email address which you need to verify for the vote to count.

This weekend the pier is looking to kick-off its Easter Eggstravaganza.
The event runs for 17 days and the attraction’s giant Easter Bunny will be out of his hutch to greet fans.
An egg trail is being organised, free annual rides passes will be up for grabs and there will be a free fireworks display on Sunday April 20 around 9pm, as well as free live music at weekends.
Pier general manager, Harry Peek, said: “The weather seems set fair for the start of April and we can only hope it continues throughout. Rides will be open for 17 consecutive days and there will be fun for everyone.”
The Easter Bunny will be appearing daily in Discovery Bay soft play from April 5 to April 21 and is included in the admission price.
A golden hen is being encouraged to lay golden eggs and one will be hidden around the pier every day of the school holiday. The first to find it each day will receive a free annual rides pass worth £60.
