Work on upgrading popular rides on Clacton Pier is on track to be completed for the summer season.
In-house teams have been busy throughout the winter and will continue to complete the projects to enhance the offer for visitors.
One of the major improvements is a second train for the Looping Star roller coaster which will double its capacity and help cut down on queues at peak times.
When the ride was brought in from Aberdeen six years ago it came with three trains. It has operated with one with 12 seats up to now and another has been refurbished ready for this summer.

Work is also progressing on the iconic Helter Skelter which was dismantled at the end of last year for repairs and repainting.
Eight panels are now complete and the rest are underway in the workshop.
Pier rides manager Harry Turley said it has been a busy winter for the team and a great deal has been achieved.
“The second train for the Looping Star will be a real bonus as it will mean 24 people can ride at any one time,” he added.
“This will be a major advantage when we are really busy and will reduce any waiting times for our customers.
“The Helter Skelter is a significant project – the ride is a landmark on the pier – and it will be completed to a high standard.”

On top of these schemes, the Bumper Boats are getting a facelift, as well as new interactive water features and a new themed soundtrack.
Signage is also being replaced around the ride deck along with all the regular maintenance work that goes on behind the scenes.
“There are many improvements being made to our existing rides before we get to further investment in the future,” said Mr Turley.
“We never standstill and there are always jobs that need doing as we prepare for the season ahead.”
