Clacton Pier will be playing its part in celebrating Mother’s Day this weekend.
The attraction is offering free rides for mums so they can accompany their kids without the extra cost.
One adult will be given a complimentary wristband with every Big Day Out Band bought for a child.
This initiative was trialed for the first time last year and proved very popular with hundreds making the most of it – and the same offer will be made to dads in June.

Nigel Brown, Communications Manager at the pier, said it is a thank you to all mums and to show they are very much appreciated.
“While the youngsters love to come to our attraction and go on the rides, it will be good to see the whole family having fun together,” he added.
“We are aware that everyone’s situation is unique and that’s why we are happy to open the offer up to anyone you identify as “mum”, whether that is grandma, aunt or a guardian over 18.
“It will be exactly the same for dads, grandads, uncles and guardians on Sunday June 15.”
The offer will also apply when children are using their annual rides pass, where one unlimited rides band will be issued per pass holder.

Annual rides passes can also be bought at a special spring price, and they are currently available online only for a significant reduction at only £40 for a limited period.
The annual rides pass also offers a 20 per cent reduction on selected attractions, food and drink on the pier.
