Clacton Pier has invested thousands of pounds in three exciting new arcade machines.
The most impressive is the VR fighter jet flight simulator which has been installed in the central concourse and is already in operation.
It is a multi-directional two-seater game with virtual reality headsets and is attracting plenty of attention.
A three-player carnival wheel has also been introduced in the main amusement arcade and a VR car machine is due to be delivered soon.
“We are constantly refreshing our offer and providing new additions around the site,” said General Manager Harry Peek.
“The fighter jet simulator is already proving popular and we expect it to be the same when the VR car game arrives.”
The pier’s Easter Eggstravaganza is well under way and continues through to April 21 and anyone visiting is advised to take advantage of booking online in advance to receive a 25 per cent discount on a wristband.

Mr Peek also revealed that more than 50 new staff have been taken on by the pier for the start of this season.
The employees were recruited across the board and every department at the attraction has new faces on the team.
These include a number of team leaders and management support with all of them inducted and trained in time for the Easter holiday.
Mr Peek said that he is pleased with the recent recruitment process which had been very successful.
“We have some excellent new staff with us, some of whom will bolster our management team and some will operate rides and work in our food and drink outlets,” he added.

“While the number of seasonal employees is down on previous years due to the current financial climate we are confident that we have both the numbers and quality to provide a great service to our customers.
“We have also continued with incentive schemes brought in last year to ensure our staff know they are a very valued part of the business.”
It takes the pier’s current team up to over 170 full and part-time employees and the figure is expected to rise to above 200 by the main summer.

Free live music is also back on the terrace outside the Boardwalk Bar and Grill at weekends with a wide range of acts booked to perform.
Clacton Pier was recently voted among the top 200 icons in Essex in a public vote conducted by Visit Essex as part of its staycation campaign.
